About Us

Introduction

The Academic Affairs Department supervises the training of male and female students to complete the requirements for graduation and excellence in all disciplines from colleges and scientific Sectors affiliated with King Abdul Aziz University and external Sectors from government universities and private university education, and supervises all postgraduate programs approved by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, and to make sure of Application of standards for medical education and continuous professional development, health colleges, scientific societies, research centers at the university, and university hospital departments Accreditation of educational hours to hold seminars, conferences, and scientific seminars to discuss health issues in various fields.

Effective contribution in administrative and vocational development and training and scientific research at King bdulaziz University Hospital, to enhance the pioneer role of the hospital.

Performance measurement for CME against the application of established standards

Coordination to train the students of Saudi and foreign universities for governmental and domestic sectors at all departments
To supervise the training programs and workshops and courses at University Hospital from Academic and Administrative Sides
To establish a database for all trainees of all categories and specializations
To supervise the Medical Library.
To coordinate with Education unit and Nursing research of training programs.
To coordinate with the unit of scientific research ethics unit to follow the researches in the university hospital

Our Services

Receiving training requests for the following groups:

King Abdulaziz University students and pre-graduation students of Saudi universities (academic requirement) Internship training for health, administrative, and professional majors
To enroll and train in the programs of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties
Training to obtain the classification of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties
Follow-up training programs at the Administration Institute, and follow-up scholarship procedures for employees
Practical experience training
Training for applicants in bridging programs
Training students of private health colleges and the private health sector
Training students from other educational categories

Coordination to facilitate enrollment procedures for hospital employees in various training and educational programs.
Coordination and registration of trained doctors in various specialties, in the supervisory unit for programs of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
Coordinating and supervising the training of internship students for all disciplines for Colleges of Applied Medical Sciences and Health Colleges
Circulating and announcing the courses and seminars implemented in and outside the hospital in coordination with the Public Relations Department
Coordination with the Scientific Research Ethics Committee to facilitate the work of scientific studies and research and follow-up through a specialized committee according to the hospital's regulations.
Saving trainees' data and issuing documents for terminating training for all hospital specialties

Administrative coordination and Secretary

The tasks of this unit are focused on receiving correspondence and internal and external transactions related to training, and it is also concerned with responding to all inquiries of trainees from all parties and disciplines

Personnel Affairs Unit

This unit takes care of all the circulars of support, development and follow-up of the Academic Affairs Department’s employees.

Medical Education and Continuing Professional Development Unit

Unit tasks:

Coordination between sectors to ensure they meet the standards of medical education and continuing professional development
Creating a unified mechanism for identifying training needs, educational activities and programs
Ensure that the training process information is provided periodically and electronically updated
Facilitate the electronic registration and accreditation request for educational hours for the sectors offered for medical education and continuing professional development
Preparing periodic reports to monitor and review the performance of the provider of activities and programs for medical education and continuing professional development

Trainees Support Unit

This unit takes care of all trainees' support and follow-up, and also includes preparing and coordinating graduate affairs

Academic Training Unit

The University Hospital, under the supervision of the Academic Affairs Department, offers healthcare professionals the opportunity to upgrade skills and increase knowledge in order to produce a more capable and professional workforce. All trainees are encouraged from the College of Applied Medical Sciences or the College of Nursing and other colleges that require Its students graduate training to take advantage of the appropriate development opportunities and includes the necessary instructions for the trainees to have their certificate or professional classification certified and registered or recognized in their profession after graduation

Health Academy Unit

The Training Unit at the Health Academy falls under the programs of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties to qualify human cadres for the labor market, such as a program for the rehabilitation of female graduates of Colleges of Science
