Unit tasks

The University Hospital, under the supervision of the Academic Affairs Department, provides health care professionals with the opportunity to upgrade skills and increase knowledge in order to produce a more capable and professional workforce. All trainees are encouraged from the “College of Applied Medical Sciences” or the “College of Nursing” and other colleges that require graduation training. To take advantage of the appropriate development opportunities and includes the necessary instructions for the trainees to have their certificate or professional classification certified and registered or recognized in their profession after graduation. The following are the instructions that must be followed to request training at the hospital in accordance with the approved hospital policy and procedures

Procedures and requirements for applying for training:

The applicant for training must adhere to the requirements and submit them to the academic affairs of the hospital:

Application stage:

  • Fill out the registration form and acknowledge academic affairs (training category: academic requirement)
  • (1) copy of: National ID / Iqama (valid)
  • (1) personal photo, 3 * 4
  • A letter of orientation from the trainee's college
  • An identification statement from the router or the entity's electronic system

Acceptance stage:

In case of acceptance, the trainee will be informed by e-mail to complete the following application procedures:

  • Fill out the Hospital ID card request
  • Conducting medical examinations, including testing for Coronavirus (Covid 19)
  • Fill out and sign the commitment form to adhere to the uniform and to abide by the hospital rules and regulations
  • Attending the induction course at King Abdulaziz University Hospital
  • Excellence students must appoint a leader for the trainee group in order to collect forms and follow up with the Academic Affairs Department to complete the procedures two weeks before the start of the training

Training completion stage

  • Upon completion of the training for the trainee or the leader of the student group, submit the release form after making sure to sign it from the following places
    • Section on training
    • Medical Library
    • Security module
  • The trainee or the leader of the student group must submit the trainees ’evaluation form in order to be signed and stamped by the Academic Affairs Department
  • In the event that the evaluation forms are sealed, a copy of them in addition to the Trainee’s Disclaimer form shall be sent to the e-mail uh.td@kau.edu.sa, with the need to make sure that all forms are signed and stamped by the Academic Affairs Department.
